March 14, 2022- The Malolos COVID 19 Special Team has expressed confidence to BulSU-Main’s level of readiness to hold limited face-to-face classes for Academic year 2022-2023.

Present during the inspection were BulSU President Dr. Cecilia S. Navasero-Gascon, Executive Vice President Dr. Teody C. San Andres, BulSU Main Campus Chancellor Dr. Romeo D.C Inasoria and other executive officials and administrative members of the council, together with the City Government of Malolos Business and Licensing Division Head Atty. Aida Bernardino, City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Officer Cesar Caluag Jr, City Information Officer Regemrei P. Bernardo, and other members of the joint inspection team.

‘’Dahil ang Bulacan ay nailagay na sa Alert Level 1, wala ng dahilan upang ang BulSU ay hindi tumugon sa paanyaya ng Commission on Higher Education na magsagawa ng face-to-face classes.’’- the BulSU Main Chancellor said.

The BulSU-Main initially presented their level of preparedness for their Industrial Technology, Nursing, Hospitality and Tourism Management and Engineering programs, and eventually be followed by other colleges of the University.

A careful review of CHED’s guideline, consultations with stakeholders and budget allocation for the students’ insurance were also part of the university’s preparations as explained by Dr. Teody C. San Andres, BulSU’s executive Vice President.

Aside from the positive feedback expressed by the LGU Malolos COVID 19 special team, the City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Officer Cesar Caluag Jr. assured the BulSU administration that the City Government of Malolos shall continue its support to the academic community.

‘’Pauna na po ang pang-congratulate sa inyong lahat, partners tayo dito, tulungan po tayo…makakaasa po kayo na ang buong City Government of Malolos nakaaalalay sa inyo upang matulungan na makatugon sa mga guidelines ng CHED.’’- Caluag said.

In response, Dr. Romeo D.C Inasoria is confident that the University will be able to adhere with the guidelines of CHED.

‘’The health and safety of our students, staff, faculty and academic personnel is our university’s highest priority. BulSU assures, that you are safe. Constant supervision shall be in place and protocols shall be strictly adhered and implemented.’’- Dr. San Andres added.

Under CHED guidelines, educational institutions have to consult with their respective local government units first before submitting their official application for limited face-to-face classes.

With the assurance of getting clearance from the City government of Malolos, submission of the necessary requirements mandated by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) will come next.
