Importance of GEDSI

What is GEDSI Approach ?

The technical working group of Gender and Development is adapting GEDSI for Gender and Development Campaign.

Recognizing the significance of addressing gender equity, disability, and social inclusion concerns is paramount. One of the key elements for crafting effective proposals involves incorporating issues related to gender equity, disability, and social inclusion (commonly referred to as GEDSI).

ABOUT

Description

The Gender and Development (GAD) Council is responsible for the coordination and execution of all GAD-related initiatives within the city. This office plays a pivotal role in handling administrative tasks and preparing and documenting meetings for both the GAD Council and the GAD Technical Working Group.

GENDER-FAIR LANGUAGE

  • Gender fair language (GFL) is language used with the intention of reducing gender bias in one’s mental representation, or mental understanding of and idea. Gender fair language includes gender neutral (English singulr they) and gender-inclusive language (English he or she).
